We make every effort to schedule appointments for your convenience. We generally book younger, more anxious patients earlier in the day to give our staff more time to spend with each child on an individual basis. Because older children attend school, we try to see them in the afternoon. To help us maintain an on-time schedule, we ask that you arrive 5 minutes before your scheduled appointment time. If you need to cancel an appointment, please give our staff 24 hours notice so that we can offer the time slot to another child.

Confirmation / Cancellation Policy

Please confirm your child’s appointment, by phone or email, at least one business day before the appointment. If an emergency should arise, please try to give us at least 24 hours notice so that we can offer this appointment to another child.

Insurance Processing

We accept most dental insurance plans and will file claims on your behalf, saving you the time and hassle. We will provide you with an ESTIMATE of what your insurance plan will pay and offer payment options for any remaining balance. If your insurance does not pay after 60 days, the remaining balance will be guarantor responsibility.

Children’s Dentistry of Charleston has contracted with several dental insurance plans. We will also file claims for a wide range of non-contracted dental insurance plans.
After your appointment, we will submit your claim to your insurance company. If you have a deductible or co-insurance due for services provided, those fees are due at the time of service. We will provide you with anESTIMATE before any treatment is done, and we will make every effort to maximize your dental benefits. However, each employer designs its own dental plan. To completely understand what is covered by your dental benefit plan, it is best to contact your employer or insurance company.

*You will need to confirm your insurance acceptance when you make your appointment. If you have a change in your insurance, please notify our office at least 24 hours before your appointment.

For services not covered or not submitted to insurance, we accept cash, check, all major credit cards, as well as, Care Credit at the time of service.
